Please find a few of local restaurant’s that we have enjoyed that may be of interest. We have indicated if dog friendly although most are here, many will not let you take dogs into the main restaurant area but eating in the bar area or outside is fine. However, we would suggest you book as during the weekends or holiday season they are very popular and get busy with local and visitors alike!

we have amazing beaches to see definitely worth a visit if you have the time, there may be restrictions on dogs depending on the time of year.

The Tarka Trail

A long cycle and walk path converted from railway tracks a fun day out especially if you have bikes which can be found for hire all over Bideford and varying areas

Places for shopping

we have supermarkets and retail outlets about 2 miles  away and more extensive shopping in Barnstaple or a train ride to Exeter

we are perfectly located to explore north Devon and Cornwall and here are our top suggestions

Golf Clubs

There are several Championship Link Course in the area. The closest being Royal North Devon at Westward Ho!

These courses are a mecca for avid golfers across the globe, busy all year round, you’ll need handicap certification and should attempt to book a tee as soon as possible

Fishing

There are many options for fishing in the area from sea, coastal, river or lake.

crabbing is also an amazing option and quite popular around here.
